Here's a shot which gets a bit back to my photographic roots. Clouded leopards, my dearest, most beloved photo subjects. This was taken way back in September of last year, but due to the overload of Europe photos I had, I'm only just now getting down to uploading it. Much more to come.
I'm not sure why it is they're so much more emotive, but I totally agree with you. Other big cats are just kinda....there... but these guys seem to have a whole range of emotions.
Their pupils are actually somewhere between those of domestic cats and big cats ([link][link][link] for a direct comparison). This particular clouded leopard's eyes are more slitted than those of a lot of others I've seen. That could be why I've always thought this guy had a feral look about him.
