I'm taking a break from editing pictures to post one. As it were, white balance was my worst enemy at the Sacramento Zoo. It can really help fix your color scheme if you use it right, but if you have it set to "Shade" when the subject is in "Direct Sunlight," you're gonna have a bad time. Basically it blows out all the colors in the photo (and I do mean ALL the colors). I spent around 30 minutes trying to get the saturation reined in on this shot, but this was the best I could do. ;_; Should have seen it before though. Lion looked like he was radioactive, everything was so saturated.
Anyways, there will be plenty more (and much better) lion shots coming. I went a little...overboard, let's say... shooting this guy.
