Thanks! I've always been a sucker for reflections, myself. When you have really strong lines and repeating patterns like in this shot, a good reflection can make a decent composition fantastic and a lot of fun to look at.
Beauty! Interesting thing about them; despite the huge number of fangs, they're actually quite harmless to humans unless frightened or otherwise provoked. They're fish-hunters, not made to kill larger things like humans.
Thanks. I'd been trying for years to get a decent gharial shot when this opportunity presented itself. Seems that as interesting-looking as gharials are, they just don't translate well to film. Best of luck finding some in a zoo near you though. They really are a sight to behold.
this picture is kinda disturbing <_< not in a bad way, it's a great capture but at first I thought his mouth was opened then I realized it was the reflection and then I looked closely and it seemed like his head was opened or so
Thanks. It's one of those shots that just kind of took itself -- all I had to do was be there to get as low to the ground as possible and press the shutter release -- but it's still one of my favorites. Glad you like it too.
I don't have a superduper account, but this would make an eccellent daily deviation suggestion! I love how the reflection of the closed mouth looks like the open mouth of a bigger animal very amazing work!
