Description
The new male lion at the San Antonio Zoo, presumably shortly after a bit of a dustup with one of the female lions. The two of them don't seem to get along too well, and she definitely seems to have gotten the worst of it -- a couple bare spots on her fur, a scab on her forehead, and a mostly missing tail. Not sure that this guy caused it all, but if so, it's a definite reminder that lions, tigers, etc. are big freakin' wild cats, no matter how huggable they may look at times.
As an aside, is there anyone who actually gets the reference I made with the title of this picture, or am I just being my usual esoteric self? And no, if you have to google it, you didn't get it.
